Chap 1: Experiments, Models, and Probabilities
Chap 2: Discrete Random Variables
Chap 3: Continuous Random Variables
Chap 4: Pairs of Random Variables
Chap 5: Random Vectors
Chap 6: Sums of Random Variables
Chap 7: Parameter Estimation Using the Sample Mean

課程目標 |
1. Students understand the basic concepts of probability and statistics after taking this course.
2. Students have the ability to model a real-life problem into a theoretical probability problem, and apply the probability theory to solve for the real-life problem.
3. Students understand the relation between probability and other EE courses/EE research areas.
4. Students know what courses to take ih future if they are further interested in probability. |

課程要求 |
1. Prerequisites: Calculus (A)
2. Homework assignments are done via BJT-online social gaming system.
3. Midterm/Final: There will be one midterm and one final exam during the university-scheduled midterm and final exam week.
4. Grading:
Participation: 5%
Homework + Recitation problems: 25%
Midterm: 35%
Final: 35%
A+: grade within top 6% among the total student body of 4 classes in whole
A: grade within top 1/6 among the total student body of 4 classes in whole
A-: grade within top 1/3 among the total student body of 4 classes in whole
B+ or lower: grade would be normalized to within the range of 0~79 and then map to the different grade levels accordingly.
